The College of Pathologists of Central Eastern & Southern Africa (COPECSA) aims at promoting excellence in the practice of Pathology and being responsible for maintaining standards through training, examinations & professional development for the benefit of patients and the improved understanding and outcome of disease. The Pathology Department at Aga Khan University Hospital provides state-of-the-art laboratory medicine services for the population of the East African region. The laboratory operates for 24 hours per day and currently performs about 5000 tests per day.
